My co-workers and I were recently sharing our upcoming weekend plans. Usually, it’s the typical-I’m going to sleep in and work really hard at doing absolutely nothing or go to a family or friend get together. So, when my friend Dom told me she was going to a vision board party, I was intrigued.
I’ve obviously heard of people creating vision boards, posting inspiring mantras, pics and items that represent their upcoming goals and dreams. But I didn’t realize vision board parties were a thing. Kinda loving it.
I had her report back on Monday and she said it was a super fun and motivating experience. The girls invited were all close friends from college, so they felt totally comfortable opening up to one another. They browsed mags and cut out things that inspired them, got a lil tipsy and shared their hopeful visions with one another. Pretty cool, right?!
I decided to do a little research on ways to reflect on your vision board so that your affirmations and goals are incorporated into your daily thoughts. Found a cool article from a counseling center that gave some great insight. Here are a few tips below, but read full article here.
∇ Look at your vision board often and feel the inspiration it provides.
∇ Hold it in your hands and really internalize the future it represents.
∇ Read your affirmations and inspirational words aloud.
∇ See yourself living in that manner.
∇ Feel yourself in the future you have designed.
∇ Believe it is already yours.
∇ Be grateful for the good that is already present in your life.
∇ Acknowledge any goals you have already achieved
∇ Acknowledge the changes you have seen and felt.
∇ Acknowledge the presence of God/Universe/or whatever you believe in your life.
∇ Acknowledge the Law of Attraction at work in your life.
∇ Look at it just before going to bed and first thing upon rising.
I see a vision board party in my near future. 😉
