I’m an avid list taker which makes me feel half organized, half drives me crazy.
To Do List

Work on book proposal
Gawd, wouldn’t it be great to sit down to create a To-Do list and have absolutely nothing on there except this?
To Do List
I was feeling that tightness in my chest I get when I’m stressed and not sure where to begin. I remembered I had downloaded some apps for these particular occasions. Here are my top picks.
For the Beginner
Headspace is awesome if you’re new to meditation. It explains exactly how to do it in clear steps. The cute little cartoon videos and the narrators sexy accent doesn’t hurt, either. They also have alarms you can set to remind yourself to practice, which have been helpful for me.
For the Girl on the Run
Insight Timer is fun because it has such a huge library of guided audio meditations to listen to. You just pop in some key words for what you’re feeling that day-maybe stress reduction or breathing into sleep. Or maybe you just have a few moments to zen out. The timer feature is cool cause you set your desired amount of time and then can choose from soothing music, nature sounds or silence.
For the Spiritual Gal
Spiritual guru Abraham Hicks is a speaker and author who created an app with guided meditations. She has the most soothing voice. Even if you don’t agree/pay attention to her message, I swear her calm voice and the music will melt away any stress you’re feeling. I personally love her message which is all about positive thinking, the power of the law of attraction and a connection among all people. Good stuff.
As I’m still thinking about resolutions for the new year, I really hope to learn more about the how to’s and benefits of meditation. Most successful (and happy) people say that meditation has really enhanced their lives.
Put it on my To- Do list. 🙂
